View compensation history - currency behavior

Hello,
There is a behavior on the Redwood View compensation history, related to the currency, that I'm not sure about.
When the employee was still active, we can see the correct Local currency, which is IDR, and the currency in the regional preference (EURO in this example). I have to select an effective date during is active assignment.
But when I entered a date after his termination date, I have USD as Local currency and EURO as 2nd currency
I assume that this behavior is related to his payroll relationship that is not active anymore, as the employee left the company, but I would like a confirmation for this assumption. Otherwise, I don't have any other suggestion to this behavior
