How to inactivate/end-date a benefits plan and potentially disenroll enrolled employees

edited Dec 5, 2024 5:42PM in Benefits 9 comments

Summary:

For our 2024 Open Enrollment event, we wanted to take advantage of our high employee participation to capture employee Correspondence Language data. What we did was create a new Plan Type (Language Preference), a new Plan (Preferred Language), and associated Options - all with Effective Start Dates of 1/1/1951.

When employees participated in 2024 Open Enrollment, they were able to select a "Language" option (for the Preferred Language plan) when submitting their standard benefit elections.

We then ran a report afterwards, to perform a “data capture” of all employees who participated (those who made a Preferred Language selection). We then loaded that data into each participating employee's respective Correspondence Language data field (present in their Personal Details > Biographical Info page).

Howdy, Stranger!
