Cannot Open Opportunity from Report

I've been banging my head against the wall for a couple of days on this one.  I have a couple of reports I created a while back that show a table of our opportunities.  These reports seem to be read only.  Meaning that I can open the report but I cannot double-click on the opportunities listed and have them open.  Does anyone know why?  There must be a checkbox I selected somewhere but I can't seem to find it.  If I wasn't already bald, I surely would have pulled all of my hair out by now.  Any help you could
