End of Year Clean Up - File, Archive, Delete

As another year ends, many begin to reflect on accomplishments and year-in-reviews. Yet, we often overlook getting our Eloqua house in order. There is no better time to get cleaning than this time of year.

This post will focus on cleaning up assets within the Eloqua interface by using the archive feature, filing into archive folder(s), and/or deleting. Each method has its advantages. All three are also available via Eloqua’s APIs, which is another avenue to efficiently clean up your instance in bulk.

Before getting started, you’ll want to generate a list of assets to “store away.” After determining your desired retention timeframe, generating and auditing your list of assets can be accomplished in different ways:
