When accepting or denying a required Action Item, medical premium rates revert back to base rate
Medical premium rates are based on employee & spouse (if applicable) biometrics. During Open Enrollment, if an employee enrolls in a supplemental life insurance amount above threshold, the benefit will go into suspension and the employee will be required to do evidence of insurability (EOI) and an Action Item is created. The medical premium at the time the Open Enrollment Event processes/closes is correct based on biometric results.
When accepting or denying an ACTION ITEM, the calculated medical premium reverts back to base rate - does not consider the biometric results and is causing an increased medical premium to be charged.
