Report in Workspace of object whose ID is being used by Workspace

I'm having a hard time achieving this one and I'm hoping it's really something silly that I'm overlooking.  Here's my situation.  

We are using the Opportunities module (although the same is probably true with Incidents too).  Our sales team will create a new opportunity and enter a bunch of values into a bunch of fields.  This works great.  However, we like to look at pretty pictures at my company.  So I've been instructed to turn all of this data entry into a beautiful piece of artwork (ie. chart/graph/image and/or a report that does math).

The idea is that I would add this report/chart to the Workspace of the opportunity and it would magically filter out all of the other opportunities so that the only row displayed in the report is for the opportunity that I'm looking at in the workspace itself.  So if I open up opportunity id 52, I should see a report/chart based on information that is included only in opportunity id 52.
