How to stop CRM users delinking a customer contact

edited Jan 28, 2025 9:28AM in Sales 1 comment

Hello,

We have integrated Redwood CRM with CPQ, Order Management, and AR to allow us to raise Opportunities and Quotes which then create recurring Orders and Invoices.

However we have an issue. When users delink a contact from an account (also deleting/removing a contact from an account in CRM), we notice the system is deleting the Contact Point in AR.

Impact of this is our integrations cannot then update the Order or create an RMA as the api throws an error that the contact no longer exists.

<![CDATA[The request failed because contact number ATP400850 doesn't exist in Order Management Cloud..A 400 Bad Request Error indicates that the target service is unable (or refuses) to process the request sent by the client (Oracle Integration Cloud), due to an issue that is perceived by the server to be a client problem. You can trace the cURL representation of the request sent to the target service from the Oracle Integration Cloud server logs. Try invoking the target service using cURL. It may also be that one of the intermediaries (proxy, LBR) could be returning this code. ]]>

Howdy, Stranger!
