Career preferences notification for managers

When an employee adds the notification under ME»Career and performance»Career development»Career preferences, is the employee able to view the notifications for the same.

I have tried adding the notifications approvals under My client group»Profile»Talent profile»Person»career preferences»Approval required checkbox. However, when the employee saves the career preferences, there are no notifications appearing. how to acheieve this.
