Yesterday's Backlog + Today's Created Incidents

Hi, I am fairly new to reporting and analytics so please bear with me if this is something that should be obvious. I've done some searching and I've tried to figure this out myself but I am at a loss.

We currently use the Incident Trend Report to view Incidents Created, Incidents Resolved, Net +/- (Backlog) and Responses. However, we are looking for a way to view "Total Incidents to Resolve" as in yesterday's backlog + today's Created = Total Incidents to Resolve. Then, Total Incidents to Resolve - Incidents Resolved = Today's backlog.

For the life of me I cannot find a way to calculate this. I can get it to add together all the backlog from every day in an interval but that only helps if I am looking at weekly or monthly sets, not when I want to look at each day over the course of a week or month. I can also look at an isolated day but then it loses context as soon as I view the next day.

Howdy, Stranger!
