Expense Types translation to local language

Translation to local language is not working for Expense Types. Any workable solution?

As per Client requirement I'm trying to enable translation for Expense Types visible on Expense creation page.
This list of Types is defined under task Manage Expense report Templates.
I've already tried solution described in below article, but seems this intended to work with Printable templates, while I'm looking solution for Drop-Down list visible for user during Expense entry on UI if user is using local language.
