Trying to count field with text as a data type

Hi there! I'm fairly new to the analytics side of Oracle and I need some help with functions. Specifically, I'm trying to count the number of entries with a specific text. I've been able to figure out how to count fields when the data type is "Menu." For example, I can count a specific type of exchange using this function: sum(if(tasks.c$typeofexchange=720,1,0)).

However, there is another custom field I need to count where the date type is "Text." I don't know if I can, but it would be hugely helpful. There are only two options for what text will be in the field: "Green" and "Red." I need to be able to count how many say "Red." I hope this makes sense. I've been trying to figure this out for a while and my brain is fried.

Howdy, Stranger!
