Copy Cell to Clipboard in Record Layout

I am unable to get a report in Record layout to allow my users to use the 'Copy Cell To Clipboard' function as expected. This works fine in Tabular layout.

Expected Results: Selected field value is copied to clipboard to be pasted elsewhere

Actual Results: Entire Record contents are copied to clipboard (all fields for that record including column labels, not just the selected field).

 

I can think of 2 options:

  • Change the layout to Tabular. This is not ideal as the agents have become used to this particular report being Record layout.
  • Allow in-line editing of the particular fields they need to copy (phone numbers). They would have to click twice to go into edit mode then highlight/copy. This is not ideal due to the potential for accidentally modifying the data.
