Job Effective start date consideration for updating competencies in performance document

Hi,

I have a case when an employee was in job X during 2024 and in Jan 2025 got promoted to job Y. Now we are creating the performance documents related to period from Jan. to Dec. 2024. However, the competencies populated in his document are the ones associated to job Y. While during the evaluation period, the employee was still in job X. Does the system check the effective start date of the job or considers the current job regardless of the date?
