meaning of threads.seq - and howto filter on it

Hi all,

I've got a small challenge: I try to filter out the 1st contact of a customer within an incident, and my intention is to use the threads.seq field. My assumption was, as the field name implies, that this contains a sequence number for the threads, so it increases by 1 for every further contact in that incident. Is that a misinterpretation?

If so, would there be any other possiblity to just grep the 1st contact in a thread? 

A min (threads.entered) < x results in an error
