How to I use alternate approver for PR approvals

Summary:

I have a line Manager in US but business policy requires the PR to be approved within country. So I need the alternate approver to be in the path of requisition approval.

I have setup the country manager as my Primary Matrix Manager. But the notification is still going to my line manager only.

Please advise if there is an option to ensure the approvals consider the matrix approver.
