using REST to update custom property value to null or just delete those custom property

Summary:

using REST to update custom property value to null or just delete those custom property itself from activity association ? i could see patch to update any property value associated to an activity but i wanted to know if we can delete those properties from activity association or null. we can set them again based on new conditions
