Redundant OOB relationships in menu - how to remove

Summary:

We are implementing Relationships for Contact. We are not creating any custom relationships. When using the OOB relationships, the relationship menu shows:

Domestic Partner

Significant Other

significant other (lowercase)

We want to remove the two entries below. There's an edit button but it doesn't appear to allow me to do anything except add groups to the bottom. Where would I go to remove the Significant Other and significant other? Is that done somewhere else or do I need a specific permission to change this? Or is it not possible?

We also do not want to display Influencer/influenced in the list either since it won't be used, but of the two issues the Domestic Partner/Significant Other/significant other issue is the more problematic as it will be very confusing for end users.
