Any way to count the contact list on automatic schedule via report?

I want a report that tells me the total count from a contact list.
I am facing two issues with the type of report I am trying to create:
- The count field in “contacts to list” table only includes the last count number (any way to make the report count it to get the latest count number?)
- Can’t seem to find a way to define a specific contact list ID in the filter?
