how to remove the auto-provisioned roles for a particular User

Summary:

We have a requirement to remove auto-provisioned roles for a specific user.

Since we don’t have access to the Security Console, we attempted to remove the roles through the Resource Directory, but the roles are still showing under the user's assigned roles.

Is there an alternative method to remove roles from a user other than using the Security Console?
