Significance of Credit Limits at Late Charges tab

I would like to know the significance of Credit Limits uder Late Charges tab in customer account profile. If we are updating Order Credit Limit to NULL <Blank> under 'Account Profile' tab through FBDI, then it auto-updates the same field in Late Charges tab with a value of -999999999999999999. What does this mean? We are not using Late charges and this field is not even part of FBDI. Any idea why these fields are provided in this section and if there is any relationship of these fields with credit profile of the customer.
