Open record in report with custom script

I have a report that has a custom script that looks for matching contacts in the report and then in one column lists all the roles (a custom object) associated to that contact in a comma separated list instead of having for example 5 rows. The problem is now I cannot open the contact record by clicking on it. Has any one come across an issue like this before with custom scripting in a report
