Rehire within 30 days using Default Enrollment Formula - Not Designating Dependents

Hi,

Hope you're doing well.

We have a requirement to reinstate/default the employee into the previously enrolled plans, when the employee is Rehired within 30 days of Termination. We are currently able to achieve this via a Default Enrollment Formula which defaults the employee into the previously enrolled plans/option.

ISSUE: When the "Rehire within 30 Days of Termination" is processed, it defaults all the previous enrollments the associate was enrolled into, but doesn't designate/carry-forward dependents that the employee had designated earlier if there is lapse in coverage.

Scenario:

An employee was terminated as of 4/24/2025 and all of their coverages end as of the termination date using the "Termination" Life Event, only exceptions are Medical, Dental, Vision go till the end of the month of termination (4/30/2025).

Howdy, Stranger!
