Any way to *not* update the Talent Profile with competency ratings from performance documents?

Hi there -

I have a client requirement to not update the talent profile with competency ratings from completed performance documents. Is this even possible, either in Responsive or Redwood? My understanding is that the link is automatic as long as we use the Talent Profile as the section type - so the only workaround would be to evaluate these via a questionnaire.

Please let me know if an alternative solution is available.
