Changing CurrentDate format field in report header

Hi All

Is there a way of changing the {CurrentDate} text field format from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy

We have tried several options but to no avail.  We also tried editing the config setting DTF_SHORT_DATE but that must not be used in this scenario.
