Oracle's recommendation to migrate Plugins and Other Configurations from One Instance to Another.

Summary:

Hi Team,

We want to understand Oracle's recommendation to migrate configuration like Plugins, Properties, Message Scenarios, Activity Types etc. from lower instance to higher instance. Is there any automatic way to do that.

Can FlexDeploy be used for this purpose to automate the migration?

As per our current understanding there are three different ways for different configurations:

1. Plugins, Properties, User Types etc. can be exported from one instance and imported into another.
2. Activity Types, Resources, Users etc. can be migrated using APIs.
3. Filters, Message Scenarios etc. should be created manually as there is no export-import and APIs.

So, we want to explore if any tool like FlexDeploy can make this process Automatic or the above 3 options are the recommended approaches.
