Benefits Special Case: New Hire Start Date and Coverage Date is the same

Hello Community,
We have a special case where our New Hire Start Date is the same as his benefits Coverage Start Date, in other words his benefits starts the same day as he walk in the door.
Without impacting our current Business process what functionality can I use to process this request.
