What does 'calculate' do in Performance document

Hello,

We have added the ‘Calculate’ option while creating the performance template. However, I’m a bit unclear about its purpose. As an employee, when I log in, the system already displays the cumulative value under ‘Employee Rating’ in the summary section based on the goal ratings.

Could you please clarify what the ‘Calculate’ option is intended to do? Even after selecting it, I don’t notice any visible change. This could potentially cause confusion for users, as the option doesn’t seem to have an apparent effect.
