Different Edit Access for Performance vs. Development Goals When Assigned Without Edit Rights

Summary:

We’ve observed an interesting behavior in the Redwood UI related to goal management and wanted to confirm if this is expected or by design.

Scenario:

  • A leader creates or assigns both a Performance Goal and a Development Goal to a team member.
  • Each goal includes at least one task.
  • The leader does not grant edit rights to the assignee.

Observed Behavior:

  • For the Development Goal, the assignee can edit the existing task and add new tasks.
  • For the Performance Goal, the assignee cannot edit or add tasks.

Questions:

  • Is this difference in edit access between Performance and Development Goals intentional?

Howdy, Stranger!
