Reevaluate Activation criteria after reopening the task

Hope you are doing well!
We are facing an issue where, after reopening a task, the activation criteria are not being re-evaluated in Journey. I understand that this is the intended behavior, but it is a major blocker for us in adopting Journeys for a very large healthcare customer (250k+ employees).
The business requirement is to allow employees to reopen tasks and have the activation criteria re-evaluated upon reopening.
Is there any workaround available for this, or is this functionality planned on the roadmap? Any guidance or pointers would be highly appreciated.
