Can we use the Suggested careers feature when using position profiles and person profiles

Summary:

We are exploring Dynamic Skills for our client and see that in the documentation it is mentioned that 'Job model profiles and person profiles must be set up. Job model profiles must be associated with jobs' refer: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/talent-management/faidy/set-up-suggested-career.html#u30236872
The client has however position profiles setup along with the person profiles. Can we still use this functionality? Will the data from the position profile be automatically linked to the corresponding job? We are in 25C with Redwood.
