updating past dated activity via plugin

Hello All,

I’m using resource usage plugin and I’m trying to update the start time captured for an individual. The activity is 3 days in the past. While trying to save the update get an error

Error code: CODE_ACTION_ON_PAST_DATE_NOT_ALLOWED

The overnight work property in Business Rules is set to 24 hrs and

Allow update activities and offline sync after overnight within the following number of hours is set to 999 hrs

Even after making these changes, updates to past activities are limited to 24 hrs via plugin.

Is it correct to infer that updates to activity data for past dated activity, via plugin, is governed by 'overnight work' property in the Business Rule and not 'Allow update activities and offline sync after overnight within the following number of hours'?
