how to populate ebs sr number in service request object from custom object?

Could you please guide me on the below implementation?

We have a requirement related to EBS SR creation. From the OIC integration, we are currently updating the field VRT_EBSSRNumber_c in OEC under the custom object ServiceRequest_c. We now need to populate the same EBS SR number at the Service Request standard object in the field OriginalSystemReferenceID_c. here the situation is once we create ServiceRequest_c then after 3-4 min we will get data in VRT_EBSSRNumber_c,

once we have ebs sr number in VRT_EBSSRNumber_c field then we want to update same sr number in OriginalSystemReferenceID_c in service request object?
