Campaign Member SF Object imported to Eloqua Custom Data Records

Hello :)

I observed the behavior that if Eloqua imports campaign member from SF to Custom Data & if that campaign member e-mail address does not exist in Eloqua as a contact then the Custom Data Record is created but a contact in Eloqua is created at the same time.

We use the condition - map CDO record with a contact in the import settings in Salesforce Integration App. No setting in the CDO services.

• Is it expected behavior that the contact is created when new custom data object is added to the CDO? I see the CDO record time creation is identical as the contact creation.
