Business validation rules for disability status and type for child

We need the ability to create a business validation rule when a child is added as a dependent in Benefits (redwood)

We are need to maker the disability type and disability status field be required when added a child as a dependent in people to cover. Currently, we have not been able to a resolution. The requirement is that when the employee adds a dependent with the relationship of 'Child' the Disability type and Status become required fields.
