Edit the person's Worker Type

Is it possible to edit the person's worker type (employee, contingent worker,…)?

Hello experts, can I please ask confirmation about the possibility to edit the Worker Type (employee, contingent worker,…) for a pending worker and for a person already hired?

Seems that for both ones (pending worker and already employed people) the worker type is not editable anymore, am I correct? What we should do in these 2 cases to have the possibility to change it?
