How to handle freight forwarding in oracle customer

We have several customers who use freight forwarders to handle the final leg of their shipments. In these cases, we ship goods to the freight forwarder (FF), who then forwards them to the customer’s final address. Within the customer account in our system, both the final ship-to address and the freight forwarder address are set up as separate sites. We assign the "Ship-to" purpose to the final destination address, and "Deliver-to" to the freight forwarder site.

Currently, Oracle Fusion Order Management does not allow direct entry of a freight forwarder address on the sales order. To provide the FF address to our third-party WMS system, we retrieve it from the customer’s account sites. To facilitate this, we have added a Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) called "Freight Forwarder" to the customer account site. For the final ship-to site, we populate the DFF with the site number of the relevant FF site, which signals which FF address should be sent to WMS.
