What accounting impact is there if we change customer account number from receipt in unapplied state

In one of unapplied receipt, user mistakenly chose wrong customer account number and now they want to change it to correct one. Could anyone confirm if this will have any accounting impact, as we need to run create accounting before we can change customer account number for that receipt.
