Clarification on 2-Tier Single Assignment with Contract – Add Assignment Button in Redwood UI

Dear Team,

We would like to clarify the system behavior related to the 2-Tier Single Assignment with Contract employment model.

Based on our previous experience in the Classic UI, this employment model does not allow adding an additional assignment from the Employment page.

However, in the Redwood UI, under the same employment model configuration, the system is allowing us to add a new assignment.

We would like to understand:

  • Is this behavior in Redwood UI a new feature by design?
  • Or is it considered a bug/inconsistent behavior compared to Classic UI?

Your clarification will help us determine the correct approach, as we are currently evaluating a solution proposal for our business team.
