CHange field Display to Hide - Content section

Summary:

THe Degree Display field is grayed out / uneditable. I plan to hide this and use other field with that is Text field type and repurpose it as Degee, since we dont need a drop down list for this. We want the Degree field to be an open text display?

How to hide the original degree? are there work around?
