Temporary Assignment Requirement

We have a requirement, an employee needs to be placed on a temporary assignment to a new position, indicating that the employee is acting in that position for a defined period of time.

The organization has one Legal Employer and one Business Unit. The employee will move to a temporary/acting position for a specific duration. After completion of the temporary assignment period, the employee assignment automatically returns to their original/previous position.
During the temporary assignment, the employee’s original position is not marked as vacant. The system should reflect that the employee is temporarily assigned elsewhere but still substantively holds the original position.
