Salary component editable without entering in edit (pencil icon) mode and updates are not applied

Summary:

Hello everyone,

In all the redwood pages, while editing salary in the salary section, we are able to add the $ amount without clicking on the pencil icon (we are using incremental components). The system takes it as an input but doesn't reflect in the % increase or $$ increase, which means in reality, the salary is not adjusted (Current Salary and Proposed Salary are the same though Adjustment Amount and Adjustment Percentage show a rise).

How can we prevent this?
