Create Security Assignment on a DFF field in FDI

Good morning,

We need to configure a custom HR role that grants visibility into HR data only for employees whose PER_ASG_DF field is populated with the value “Yes.”

We have already created an application role and configured a custom security context based on this flexfield, following the guide below:

However, we noticed that in the Security Value list of values, the field is managed at the assignment level. This means that each value is replicated multiple times based on the number of assignments that have that specific value.

This behavior is creating an issue: because the value is replicated per assignment, the HR user ends up seeing only the specific person associated with that single assignment value, instead of having visibility over all employees whose flexfield is set to “Yes.”
