How to delete the association of Lead and Campaign?

Summary:

Hi Team, currently, once we add the Lead to Campaign, the association is being created on MKT_CAMP_MEMBERS. But once we removed it, the association Active status just updates from Y to N. Is there a way we can delete the association permanently? The association is still being reported from the backend.
