Where to start investigation if the account 'Sales Profile Status' update will not save?

Summary:
Currently, in the Redwood UI, our account field 'Sales Profile Status' is not updating any change we make. For example, switching from 'active' LOV to 'exit' LOV, once you click on 'save' it redirects you to the account record panel page but when you open up the details section again the value has not changed. Looking at the example, the LOV would still be 'active'.
We don't have this issue on our testing environment.
Moreover, when I update a different field, say the 'account name', in addition to updating the 'sales profile status', it will actually update the 'Account Name' but it forgets the change to 'Sales profile status'.
