PMS: Performance Document Approval Rules Evaluating Matrix Manager Instead of Line Manager

We have a requirement to setup performance document approval rules based on the manager’s job code and job level. For this purpose, we are using the worker’s manager attribute in the rule conditions.

However, we have observed that each worker has two types of managers: line manager and matrix manager. Currently, when a performance document is submitted for approval, in few cases the system evaluates the rule conditions based on the matrix manager instead of the line manager.

Our requirement is for the system to consistently consider the line manager’s job code and job level when evaluating approval rules.
