Coverage Amount Limit Fast Formula not pulling the elected coverage amount of another plan
Summary:
The associate should be allowed to enroll in Spouse Life coverage based on the amount of Voluntary Life coverage they have, subject to Guaranteed Issue (GI) rules during a Marriage life event.
High‑Level Rules
- The spouse can be enrolled for up to the same amount as the associate’s Voluntary Life coverage, but not more than $50,000.
- If the associate has more than $50,000 in Voluntary Life coverage, the spouse coverage is capped at $50,000, which is the Guaranteed Issue amount.
- Any Voluntary Life amount above GI($10000) requires Evidence of Insurability (EOI), and spouse coverage must follow the approved (interim) coverage
