Original Enrollment Date with Multiple Active Benefit relationship

edited 3:28PM in Benefits 2 comments

Summary:

I have a question regarding how the Original Enrollment Date is derived in Benefits.

Does the Original Enrollment Date consider the first-time/continuous enrollment into a plan/option at the Benefit Relationship level, or does it simply look at the earliest enrollment into the plan/option regardless of benefit relationship?

Example scenario:

  • Person has 2 active assignments
  • DFLT1 and DFLT2 have different eligibility rules
  • Benefits are managed at all the benefit relationship level

Scenario details:

  • Under DFLT1, the employee enrolled in Dental effective 2/1/2024
    • Original Enrollment Date = 2/1/2024
  • Later, a new assignment is added under DFLT2
  • Under DFLT2, the employee enrolled in Dental effective 1/1/2026

Howdy, Stranger!
