Unable to retain candidate-entered information in External Candidate Application

In ORC external candidate applications, we have a requirement to retain candidate-entered information during the application process. This means that if a candidate logs out before completing the application and logs back in later, the previously entered data should be automatically retained and pre-populated instead of starting the application from scratch. Which configuration checkbox/setting needs to be enabled to support this functionality, and how can it be configured?
