Oracle Journeys – Dependent Task Not Retriggered After Reopening and Recompleting Previous Task

in Journeys 1 comment

We are currently facing a limitation/question regarding task dependencies in Oracle Journeys.

Scenario

We have the following setup in a Journey:

  • Task A → completed by the user
  • Completion of Task A automatically triggers Task B
  • Task B is intended to validate or process the information entered in Task A

This works correctly during the initial execution.

Issue Encountered

After Task A was completed and Task B was triggered, the validator/reviewer noticed that some information entered in Task A needed to be corrected.

To handle this:

  1. We sent a notification to the user requesting updates
  2. We reopened Task A

Howdy, Stranger!
