Hello Oracle Community,

We are configuring a Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) on Succession Plans that uses a table‑validated value set based on Common Lookups (HR_LOOKUPS).

Scenario

  • Value set is used in a DFF on Succession Plans
  • Value set is driven by a Common Lookup

Business Requirement

  • End‑dated (obsolete) lookup values must NOT appear in the dropdown for new Succession Plan records
  • However, those same end‑dated values must remain visible for existing (historical) Succession Plans where the value was already saved
